SynthetixND

SynthetixND identifies and groups near duplicates - documents that are similar, but not necessarily identical - that typically exist in vast numbers within every data collection. These documents contain substantially the same information, but all would be missed during traditional de-duping. SynthetixND typically groups the following records so that they can be reviewed by the same person at the same time:

Most collections will typically have 30-40 percent of the records in NDGroups. Having the same reviewer review entire NDGroups at one time speeds the review process and lowers litigation risks by affording consistent treatment for similar records.

SynthetixND works by creating linguistic profiles of the terms used in each document in a collection. It then groups documents with profiles that meet a user-controlled degree of sameness. One record in each NDGroup is designated the NDMaster and other records within the NDGroup are compared and scored against the NDMaster. Using workflow guidelines suggested by Syngence, records are allocated to reviewers in batches containing complete NDGroups. Reviewers focus their attention on the NDMaster and can apply review decisions to the entire NDGroup or can make individual document-level review decisions.

SynthetixND data can be loaded in virtually any review system that permits fielded data and sorting of fields.

Users may license SynthetixND individually or as part of the Synthetix Processing Suite (SPS), or they may purchase its use as a service from one of our authorized service bureau partners.
