The Synthetix Processing Suite (SPS) is the flagship offering from Syngence Corporation.
SPS is an integrated set of powerful document management, workflow, and search and navigation tools that work in conjunction with leading discovery review platforms to help organize and review unstructured data, group near-duplicate records and enable intuitive, precise searching.
SPS applications help legal teams locate duplicate or near duplicate records, ensure consistent redaction and privilege claims, confirm or rebut key documents, test best- or worst-case scenarios, and conduct spoliation audits. With SPS, attorneys make better-informed tactical decisions much earlier in the litigation cycle.
SPS consists of three applications:
SynthetixND™ identifies and groups near duplicates - documents that are similar, but not necessarily identical - those typically exist in vast numbers within every data collection as well as duplicate documents. Examples include PDF versions of a Word document or scanned paper copies of native files. These records contain substantially the same information, but all would be missed during traditional de-duping. Synthetix ND data can be loaded in virtually any review system that permits fielded data and sorting of fields.
Synthetix Search® allows users to compare the linguistic patterns of a source page or paragraph with the pages from every document in a collection. Users select the text to use as the comparison text and Synthetix immediately returns a ranked list of exact and near matches. Queries are more thorough because they are more immune to misspellings, OCR errors and other variances. Synthetix Search fully integrates into many of the leading litigation support software packages including: Concordance®, iCONECT™, CaseLogistix, and IPRO View.
Syndex™ generates document summary abstracts with key data points including author, recipient, date, subject, document type, as well as designated key terms. Syndex organizes records containing structured and unstructured data into a single data collection from which users can catalogue, sort and retrieve individual records. Syndex recognizes 16 different document types and 15 data fields. Syndex output is compatible with all litigation review systems, including Concordance, iCONECT, Summation™, Ringtail and DTSearch.
