Syngence Releases Syngence Processing System Software

New Production Software Allows Users to Build Syndex and Synthetix-Enabled Databases In-House

DALLAS, TX - April 18, 2006. Syngence LLC, the provider of Synthetix® search and navigation technology for law firms and corporations, announced today that it will release its Syngence Processing System (SPS ) software to the legal market starting April 21st, 2006. The software package is an extremely powerful, industrial-strength processing system that includes its highly regarded, litigation proven Syndex Auto-Coding system and its industry-leading content search and navigation technology, Synthetix. Both technologies have driven the processes behind Syngence LLC, the successful legal services company based in Dallas, Texas. SPS works on both paper and electronic based data collections. Synthetix searching has proven to be particularly effective on large EED collections where quickly finding smoking gun e-mails is very important. Synthetix is integrated into Concordance, LiveNote, iCONECT, CaseMap, CaseLogistix, DocHunter.NET, IPRO View and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Market demand has led Syngence to offer SPS to litigation support companies as well as to law firms, corporations and government agencies. As a result, litigation support companies can now offer their customers world-class technology completely within their own control. In addition, law firms, corporations and government agencies can perform auto-coding and create Synthetix searchable databases in-house, saving time, eliminating document security issues, and significantly reducing litigation support expenses. The development of the new SPS system is significant because it packages the powerful and complex Syngence technology into a system that is incredibly easy to use and operate.

"SPS is robust software technology that allows legal teams to maintain control of their case documents without having to send them out to a third party to enable Synthetix searching and to create fielded Syndex data," says Barry Seidner, Sr. VP of Marketing and Product Management. "Syngence has incorporated industry standard inputs, outputs and features into SPS to make this product extremely efficient and user-friendly."

About Synthetix

Synthetix technology represents a linguistic-based approach to document retrieval and analysis. Instead of relying on traditional, complicated search methods, Synthetix works from a relevant document to quickly locate similar documents. With the push of a button, Synthetix utilizes a unique linguistic-pattern matching "signature" of the page being viewed and searches the entire database for documents with similar linguistic patterns. Results are then displayed in a ranked order which allows for faster review of the most potentially relevant documents. With Synthetix, users can quickly browse or navigate to database records that are the most like any text block selected by the user, permitting a whole new approach to identifying and examining related records.

About Syndex

Syndex is an automated electronic process that creates a bibliographic index (e.g., author, recipient, date, subject, etc.) in much less time and at a lower cost than one created by human coders. Syndex uses "synthetic intelligence" technology to actually read all text within every document in order to locate and extract desired key information, including any pre-determined key words. This highly consistent electronic capture recognizes 16 different document types and captures 15 data fields, which may be enhanced or edited by the client if additional detail is required. Syndex data may be used with a variety of well-known document management applications including Concordance®, iCONECT, Summation, Ringtail, DTSearch and any other application that can accept a delimited text file.
