Syngence Appoints New Chief Financial Officer
DALLAS, TX - July 17, 2007. Syngence Corporation, an industry leader in e-discovery and content analytics solutions, today announced the appointment of Randall D. Miles as chief financial officer. Miles brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in corporate finance to the Syngence executive management team.
Most recently, Miles served as the chairman and chief executive officer for LION Inc., a publicly traded company serving the financial services industry. During his four-year tenure there, he was responsible for reengineering the company's business model and achieving significant revenue growth.
In addition to his significant investment banking experience gained from advising established as well as developing organizations, Miles has also held executive-level positions within organizations in the technology and financial services sectors in New York and Connecticut.
According to Johan Liedgren, Syngence Corporation's chairman, the company selected Miles after an extensive search.
"Spending in e-discovery is expected to triple in the next five years to nearly $5 billion," Liedgren noted. "Syngence's proprietary technology should command a leadership position in this burgeoning market, and to aggressively exploit these opportunities we need to continue to round out a rock-solid management team. Randy's addition does just that; he is a seasoned veteran whose experience and strategic vision are an ideal compliment to our team."
"I couldn't be more excited to join the company," Miles said. "Early in my research, it quickly became clear that the Syngence offering was vastly different from anything else on the market. I am looking forward to working with the team to reach our goals in e-discovery and in other markets, leveraging the power of Syngence's proprietary Synthetix search and navigation technology."
Chief Executive Officer George Noga said, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Randy to the Syngence team. In May, we announced that a group of investors acquired the assets and the underlying intellectual property of Syngence LLC and recapitalized the new company, Syngence Corporation. We said then that the recapitalization would allow us to move forward on our growth plans and to acquire the top-notch talent we need to reach our projections. The addition of Randy to the Syngence team is one example of that strategy."
Miles will remain in Seattle, where the company is planning to open an office in the coming months.
