DLA Piper Adopts Syngence Corporation's Powerful Synthetix Processing Suite (SPS™)
DALLAS, TX and SEATTLE, WA - February 06, 2008. — Syngence Corporation, an industry leader in e-discovery and content analytics solutions, today announced that DLA Piper has licensed the Synthetix Processing Suite (SPS™). DLA Piper has more than 3,600 lawyers located in 25 countries and 64 offices throughout the United States, U.K., Continental Europe, Middle East and Asia and offers legal services through 12 core service groups, including litigation and arbitration.
SPS is an integrated set of powerful applications that identify and organize unstructured data, distill it to its essence by identifying redundant information, and enable intuitive, precise search on the critical documents that remain. SPS includes the recently released SynthetixND™, which uses a proprietary algorithm to identify and group near duplicates - documents that are similar, but not necessarily identical - that typically exist within large data collections.
"Our experience working with more than half of the Am Law 100 firms has shown us that large law firms value our analytical tools and we are very pleased and excited to announce one of the most recognized large law firms in the world as a customer," said Syngence Chief Executive Officer Randall D. Miles. "Law firms routinely need to process millions of pages of documents with speed and accuracy being critical components of the e-discovery process. SPS, particularly with our recent addition of SynthetixND, provides firms like DLA Piper with the tools that allow fast comparison and exception testing, high recall and high precision.
"Speed, accuracy and relevance also mean our customers save money, up to 40 percent savings in review costs in some cases. SPS is easy to install and we provide hands-on customer support to ensure client satisfaction," Miles added.
In addition to SynthetixND, SPS includes: Synthetix Search®, which compares the linguistic patterns of selected text with every page in a document collection and returns results with ranked relevancy; and Syndex™ Auto-Coding, which automatically creates abstract document summaries containing author, recipient, date, subject and document type as well as designated key terms.
Using Synthetix Search, users can identify and monitor selected or hypothetical text within millions of pages of structured and unstructured data. Whether users engage Synthetix Search for one-time use or to continuously monitor a company's data in real-time, queries produce thorough results that are more immune to misspellings, OCR errors and other variances.
Syngence is currently attending LegalTech New York and more information can be found by visiting its booth, number 112/114.
